David Blangis - Water & Environment Engineer, expert in water recovery and economics
David Blangis is a Water & Environment engineer (ENSIL) and holds a PhD in Water Chemistry & Microbiology (ESIP–LCEE). With more than twenty years of experience in water technologies, industrial processes and R&D, he is now one of France’s specialists in water recovery, reducing consumption and the development of natural treatment solutions.
Within Groupe O, he brings rare expertise: a deep scientific understanding of water, combined with hands-on field experience, from design to implementation of solutions intended for individuals, professionals and local authorities.
A career focused on innovation and sustainable water management
Since December 2024, David has been CEO of InphytO, the group entity specializing in natural sanitation solutions and constructed wetlands. There, he develops systems designed to reduce water consumption, recover treated wastewater and reinject it into domestic or community uses.
His mission: to make water a circular resource, not a waste. A vision perfectly aligned with the group’s solutions, such as:

An experienced engineer: from scientific research to industrial projects
From the very beginning of his career, David specialized in water treatment processes, notably at Technavox, an innovative company in industrial effluents. He contributed to the creation of an industrial prototype and to the first sale of a complete system.
In 2006, at the Laboratory of Water and Environmental Chemistry, he carried out work on the recovery of rainwater via solar photocatalysis. This experience strengthened his scientific expertise in water quality, pollutants and biological degradation processes.
He then developed a broader vision of innovation:
- DB Innovative : design of innovative products, from prototype to market (8 years).
- GROUPE CDE : Managing Director for 11 years in industry (fasteners, hardware, custom manufacturing).
- S’Tile : involvement in R&D projects on new photovoltaic cells.
- Solo Énergie : consumer plug-and-play photovoltaic solar kits.
